Ending Trauma Through True Community, Transparency & Accountability

I began containing what I'm calling their ptsd or their pictures, touches, sounds disordered (because they're lyin') in June 2015 on Twitter because I couldn't make a list. The inability to write the numbers, text and keep my thoughts organized was an indicator that after assault, remaining in charge of both body & mind may prove challenging. The desire to share this moment online was overpowering since I had to find a way to alleviate at least one aspect of "working memory" while in-the-moment to get through whatever task I was doing & having the internet "timestamp" it saved me. Keeping accurate records means each note must be dated & without number sense or firm grasp of quantity, computation & sequencing, I've been progress monitoring with over 20 websites

Every day is check-in as I model how to remove the acute biological symptoms of what we know as ptsd & every opportunity to hear & preserve another's story is part of our historical oral history that we're losing by not elevating those with life experience, like veterans, survivors/victims & patients who are mistreated by a system designed by people who always have the potentially to do more harm than good when given power to decide for another. Smarter Than Trauma is fighting to level the playing field by sharing how grateful I am for those individuals, groups & companies that helped me recovery "fully" after 9 years & over 100 triggers.
